Pamela J. Meanes is perhaps best known nationally for her tenure as President of the National Bar Association. She took office in July 2014, just weeks before the killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri – an event that hit close to home given she was raising a son the same age. Under her leadership, the NBA launched its “Fight Against Police Brutality” initiative, filing open-records requests across 25 states to track police-related deaths and injuries, while also developing youth education programs on constitutional rights and advocating for federal police reform demonstrated a longstanding commitment to supporting the NBA’s Commercial Law Section and have made significant contributions to the legal profession.
Congratulations once again to Pamela J. Meanes on this well-deserved honor!
